E-Van Guru Launches 100% Electric Welfare Unit
We are delighted to announce the launch of an affordable 100% electric welfare unit. You can see the full specification here.
Under HSE provision of welfare facilities for construction workers, the demand for mobile Welfare Units has grown in recent years with many specialist converters now offering custom built solutions.
The majority of these units have been based on the historic LWB diesel panel van, though in recent months a number of operators have put new 3.5t electric-based vehicles into service, but at great cost, i.e. circa £70k plus.
E-Van Guru has been working with a number of these established converters to develop an ‘affordable’ 100% electric Welfare Unit.
Brian Bachelor, MD at E-Van Guru commented:
‘Though there are a number of electric LCV manufacturers now in the market it was important to chose a proven platform with an acceptable range, in addition to meeting all M1 crash test and type approval requirements.
We settled on the Nissan eNV200 Acenta XL (Voltia) 40kwh panel van, with a WLTP combined cycle range of 187 miles per charge and minimum maintenance costs it offers the most proven electric LCV currently in the market.’
Specification
The base conversion carries a crew of four, and can also meet all of their welfare requirements i.e. power, heat, hot water and toilet facilities. It includes roof mounted solar panels to top up the onboard dedicated Lithium batteries, which will allow sufficient power for a normal 8-10 hour shift.
You can see the full specification here.
The complete vehicle price starts from £49,900.00 plus VAT, 1st reg fee and RFL and we do have base unit stocks available for conversion.
We are also able to offer customised options on request.

E-Van Guru Announces Collaboration With Dynamo Taxis To Drive Fleet Sales
E-Van Guru announces new strategic tie up with Dynamo – the UK’s only manufacturer of the 100% all electric Black Taxi Cab.
E-Van Guru has been engaged to deliver a number of core objectives, the first is to further develop Dynamo’s relationship with Nissan GB Ltd in addition to introducing new vehicle manufacturers and spearheading new product development.
Importantly, the collaboration will also see the set-up and launch of a UK-wide approved dealer network, with the first approved dealer to be announced later this year.
The project will also see the establishment of a dedicated Dynamo sales team in the Midlands and London and the building of relationships with large taxi fleet operators.
New Driving Force Behind Zero-Emission LCV Fleets
We are delighted to announce the launch of E-Van Guru, a new business dedicated to accelerating the adoption of zero-emission commercial vehicles by fleet operators.
This timely new venture is led by Brian Bachelor. Who, with over 30 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle industry, and an advocate for Green Fleets since 2014, is recognised as one of the UK’s leading e-Van experts.
Brian Bachelor, Managing Director E-Van Guru, commented:
“The adoption of electric commercial vehicles has been too slow – with cost, choice, range anxiety and lack of charging infrastructure barriers to take-up – regardless of the environmental benefits.
Our mission at E-Van Guru is to work in collaboration with manufacturers, automotive dealerships, finance companies, fleet managers and vehicle converters to break-through these barriers to drive the adoption of zero-emission vehicles”.
Choosing the right commercial vehicles for your fleet is important – with payload, size and the number of seats basic considerations. Now, factor in specialist conversions, and a switch from diesel to electric, and decision-making becomes much more complex.
E-Van Guru will accelerate the adoption of zero-emission commercial vehicle fleets through its project based, and on-going consultancy services designed for vehicle dealerships, brokers, vehicle converters and fleet operators.
Brian Bachelor, the driving force behind E-Van Guru, has worked with brands including Volvo Trucks, Isuzu, Mercedes CV, Mitsubishi, VW Commercial Vehicles and most recently Nissan.
At West Way Nissan, Brian and his team negotiated the first major e-van fleet deal in 2014, and have gone on to sell thousands of electric vehicles to SME’s, national fleet, public sector and government agencies.
Brian Bachelor, Managing Director of E-Van Guru, commented:
“After a decade at West Way Nissan, it was a huge decision to leave, as whilst Nissan continue to lead the way with its e-NV200, new market entrants Maxus, and PSA brands (Citroën, Vauxhall and Peugeot) and imminent launches from Ford/VW and Mercedes make this an exciting time to be manufacturer independent.
The response to the launch of E-Van Guru has been phenomenal. From the outset, I will be working with Dynamo Taxis, the manufacturers of the first 100% electric and emission free Hackney black taxi”.
